Dr. Vladimir ‘Zev’ Zelenko Passes Away

Doctor Vladimir “Zev” Zelenko, 48, died Thursday after a long battle with cancer, according to a statement issued by Zelenko Labs. Zelenko was among a group of physicians nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize for his contribution to finding an effective COVID-19 treatment.

He was the doctor who formulated the “Zelenko Protocol” used by a number of physicians to treat advanced COVID-19 cases. The combination of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), zinc, azithromycin and other drugs such as steroids caused considerable controversy with mainstream medical care providers.

The doctor claimed the key to his protocol was very early intervention to treat the virus inside the cellular level before it could break loose and develop into a full-blown respiratory disease, according to the Zelenko Labs’ statement.

He was born in Kiev, Ukraine, in 1973, and his family emigrated to the United States in 1977, settling in Brooklyn, New York.

He graduated Hofstra University with a B.S. in chemistry with high honors en route to the Buffalo School of Medicine where he earned his medical degree in 2000.

Zev practiced family medicine in Monroe, New York, during the onset of what would become the COVID-19 pandemic. He applied critical thinking and the scientific method developed in his practice to devise a treatment path for his patients because, according to the statement, he was not content to wait for politicians or public health officials to act.

“People were dying,” he reportedly explained about his drive to find an effective coronavirus treatment early in the pandemic. The immigrant doctor attributed his success to divine intervention. He ignored naysayers and vigorously defended his treatment method.

According to the statement, Zelenko treated approximately 7,500 patients using his protocol and reportedly recorded only three patient deaths. The use of the Zelenko protocol has been reported from other nations.

He was vilified by members of the established medical community and many leading politicians who denied the effectiveness of his COVID treatment protocol. He further faced acrimony over his objections to mRNA vaccinations. Zelenko noted the major data points provided to the Food and Drug Administration for approval were conducted solely by the vaccine manufacturers.

Government recognition of COVID vaccination-related deaths, he claimed, represented a small fraction of the true number of such deaths. He noted that VAERS tragically showed, as of July 9, 2021, that 10,991 vaccinated U.S. individuals died from vaccination complications.

“To put the number of 10,991 deaths in just over six months from the COVID-19 injections into perspective,” Zelekno remarked in a 2021 letter to the editor, “it must be noted that a typical year sees about 200 deaths for the entire year for ALL vaccines combined.”

He noted that the 10,991 acknowledged deaths were more than the total number of deaths from all other vaccines over the previous thirty years of death reports. That did not endear him to other doctors.

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo forbid the use of HCQ in treating patients. Social media platforms joined in an alleged effort to silence him. Twitter banned him from its platform in late 2020.

As Voltaire said, “It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong.”

He is survived by his wife, Rinat, their two children, Shira and Liba, and six children from his previous marriage, according to the Zelenko Labs’ statement. His children are: Levi Yitzchok, Esther Tova, Eta Devorah, Nochum Dovid, Shmuel Nosson Yaakov, Menachem Mendel.

He is also survived by his parents, Alex (Aaron) and Larisa (Leah) and his brother Ephraim (w. Chany).
